Education Caucus
The DCDP Education Caucus meets virtually (Zoom) every second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM to discuss education legislation, events, and organize around issues as needed.
2026 Education Town Hall
Join Dickson County Public School Strong TN for an education town hall moderated by Mr. Kenneth Forte. You’ll get to hear from candidates for county mayor and the school board.
Doors open at 5:30 PM the town hall will begin at 6 PM.

Community Potluck (sponsored by People with Disabilities and Senior caucuses)
The effects of the One Big Beautiful Bill will begin late 2026 and early 2027. Our goal for this event is to educate our entire community on these effects, with the emphasis on our People with Disabilities and Senior Citizens. We will also highlight existing services for People with Disabilities and Seniors that Dickson County currently has to offer.
PLACE: Montgomery Bell State Park, Park Office Pavilion – closest Pavilion to the Main Office. The space has multiple tables and benches and is open air but covered. There is a children’s playground and a shallow stream nearby.
WHAT: A community Event and EVERYONE is welcome! A FREE Pot Luck lunch with delicious barbecue, live music and great speakers addressing the affects of the bill to essential services, which are important to the world of the Disabled and the Elderly.
PARKING: The Park Office Pavilion is ADA compliant with attached parking and an ADA compliant ramp down to the Pavilion. This pavilion has extra parking that the Rangers will open for us to use that day.
Women's Caucus Meeting
The Women’s caucus will meet the first Tuesday of every other month. The Women’s Caucus provides a space for members to discuss issues that matter to them, build community, and support one another in their personal and professional lives, as well as advocate for Women’s rights and gender equality.

This event is for executive committee members and caucus leaders. We will touch on the structure of the TNDP and focus on the role of our county party. We will have an opportunity to set goals for our party so that we can maximize our impact as we look to build back blue from the ground up.

Chaplain Johnson serves with the Tennessee Equality Project and will share about legislation that passed or failed this past cycle and what we can expect to see in the 2026 session as well as share what TEP does and how we can help.
Nevertheless We Read: SCDP Book Club
Join us for month two of the Nevertheless We Read Sumner Dems book club. This month, the NWR will be reading Let This Radicalize You by Kelly Hayes and Mariame Kaba. The book is available in physical, e-reader, and audiobook format.
The book club will meet monthly on the 4th Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Feel free to bring a snack to share! Books will be selected at each meeting for the next month.
